Public Private Partnership
The State Government is tapping the vast resource of the private sector in delivering quality health care services. Neurology and Psychiatry services alongwith Clinical Research facilities are being offered in Gurgaon Civil Hospital by National Brain Research Centre. There are 9 HUDA Dispensaries out of which Seegrams has taken over one Dispensary and is running it successfully. It is proposed to handover the remaining 8 Dispensaries also to NGOs or private agencies for which applications have been received even from Multi National Companies.

Arogya Kosh
This scheme is for BPL families for availing free treatment of life threatening diseases in ear-marked hospitals in the State and outside. Rs.141.00 lakh have been distributed to all districts out of Rs.150.00 lakh received from Govt. of India and State Govt.

Speciality Services
The Govt. hospitals and other health institutions have advanced diagnostics technology like CT Scan, MRI, Ultra Sound machines, Endoscopy etc. which enables the physicians and other specialists to reach a correct diagnosis and treat patients.

Civil Registration
The State Govt. has switched over the registration of births and deaths in rural areas from Police Stations to Primary Health Centres of Health Department. Consequently Birth Registration has increased from 78.9 percent during 2005 to 92.4 percent in 2006. Death Registration has increased to 81.5 during 2006. Quality of data generated is now being utilized in monitoring of sex ratio. Sex ratio in the year 2006 has been observed to be 857 and 860 in November, 2007 which is much higher than 2005 which was 823. A scheme has been launched in April,2006 for the medical certification of cause of death under Section 10(3) of Registration of Births and Deaths Act 1969. Till 2005, only 40 percent registered deaths were medically certified and scheme was limited only to urban areas. Now the scheme has been extended to rural areas also.

Strengthening Transport Facility
Under NRHM pregnant women and sick children can be transported to referral institutions through private taxis. Medical Officer in PHC can hire private taxi to visit Sub-Centres & Villages to provide better services in the rural areas. Transportation scheme of Mewat for pregnant women to facilitate institutional deliveries is available.

To provide better modern technology investigation facilities to the patients the following equipments were purchased:-

The Annual Plan for the year 2007-08 has been approved amounting to Rs.43.00 crore, which includes Rs.6.00 crore as Grant-in-Aid to MAIMRE, Agroha and Rs.14.00 crore for the execution of various projects as per detail given below: -

6 Construction of 100 bedded Mental Hospital at PGIMS, Rohtak 693.00 -do-
7 Construction of Auditorium at PGIMS, Rohtak 1241.00 Foundation stone laid down on dated 3.04.2007 and the work is in progress.
8 Construction of Lecture Hall in PGIMS, Rohtak 226.67 55% works done.
9 Expansion of Accident & Emergency Building (Western side) in PGIMS, Rohtak. 33.27 Work in progress.
