1. To set the priorities of sectors to be taken up for Computerization.

2. To review the progress of implementation IT Action Plan of various Government Departments, Boards and Corporations.

3. To approve budget and sanction posts & expenditure for IT. The approval by this committee shall be deemed to be final & no further reference to AD/FD will be required.

4. To devise the ways and means for the promotion of IT Education in Haryana.

4. Three IT Experts to be nominated by the State Government.

1. Standardization of hardware, software and databases .

2. Evaluation of Technologies for IT including LAN/ WAN.

3. Establishing framework contracts.

4. Fixing up norms for hardware and software purchase.

5. To approve the course curricula for all types of computer courses.

6. To assist the Steering Committee.
